Choose the countries the workspace may call. This is a destination permission and cost control; preferred destinations on a number only influence caller-ID selection.

What you’ll see

The Calling Countries page. Here a notice says calling is switched off, so the country list does not appear.

Before you start

Only workspace administrators can change outbound destinations. Review the intended countries and current account credit before enabling international calling. The screen explains that international calls use prepaid call credit rather than included plan minutes. This guide does not quote rates or authorize a credit purchase.

Review and edit

  1. Open Settings → Phone → Calling Countries and inspect International calling. When it is off, the interface says only home countries can be called, even if other destinations are individually enabled.
  2. Review the countries, status chips, and any High cost or Higher rate indicators. Read current displayed rates in the actual account; do not rely on an old screenshot or a guide for pricing.
  3. For a deliberately approved destination change, use the country's enable control and read the confirmation. The flow can turn on international calling so that the enabled destination works immediately.
  4. Add a Note when helpful; it is kept in the audit log. Confirm only after reviewing the destination and cost implications. Cancel leaves the proposed enablement unconfirmed.
  5. Reopen the page to check the account-level switch and the destination's status together. A destination enabled below an off global switch does not establish international availability.

Check the result and recover

Success here is the intended saved permission. It does not prove that a number is eligible, a representative has access, or a carrier delivered a call. The Demo Account has no active number, and no calls or credit purchases were made.

If a destination still cannot be called, inspect home-country status, international permission, credit readiness, and the reported error. Do not repeatedly enable more countries as a workaround. If a purchase is separately approved, verify that its final summary matches your workspace billing owner's approved charge and terms.
