Control which numbers automatic selection may use, protect main lines, and group available numbers into pools. Taking a number out of rotation keeps ownership and does not itself disable callbacks or texting.
What you’ll see
Before you start
You need connected numbers and permission to manage calling policy. The Demo Account has no active number; live selection and calls remain unverified. Understand the difference between automatic caller-ID selection and an AI call: a human call can still use automatic number selection.
Review and edit
- Open Settings → Phone → Calling Rotation. Inspect each number's automatic-dialing eligibility, manual-dialer visibility, and protected-main-line setting. These switches save their changes directly; do not toggle them during a read-only tour.
- Open Limits & owner to review Assigned salesperson, Daily call limit, Wait before retrying (minutes), and Most attempts per contact. Use Save Changes only after reviewing their effect.
- Use New Pool or Edit to inspect Pool name, How numbers take turns, and Numbers in this pool. Save Pool persists the pool.
- Review Calling hours, including First call time, Last call time, weekends, and Fallback time zone, then use Save Calling Hours if changing them.
- Inspect Usage by number and Change history to understand recorded use and policy changes.
Important hours distinction
The screen currently describes hours as applying to automatic and manual calls. The reviewed calling policy instead applies that restriction to AI calls and lets verified human calls bypass the hours restriction. This does not bypass opt-outs, do-not-call checks, number eligibility, or other restrictions. Do not treat the stale wording as a reliable human-call blocker.
Check the result and recover
Reopen the changed settings and inspect history. Empty usage is not proof that a number is healthy. If a call is blocked, investigate its actual reason rather than loosening unrelated safeguards or adding another number.
