Voice Scripts stores named versions of what the AI says on phone calls. You need access to AI Assistant settings; activating a version requires approval for its actual live wording and call behavior. Saving a library version and replacing the live script are separate actions.

What you’ll see

The AI Voice Scripts page, where you select New Script to write what your AI says on calls. No scripts exist yet.

Review or prepare a version

  1. Open Settings → AI Assistant → Voice Scripts and select a saved version.
  2. Inspect its Script Name, Description, and inbound/outbound content.
  3. Review the incoming greeting, instructions, and known-caller guidance separately from the outgoing opening line and objective.
  4. Use New Script only when an authorized new version is needed. Save Script saves the draft; Cancel discards the editor's pending changes.

Default version means the team's go-to library version. It does not change what the AI says on calls. For an already saved version, changing that switch saves the default flag immediately; for a new version, the flag is applied when the version is saved.

Understand activation

Use as live script uses the saved copy, never unsaved editor text. The page blocks activation until the version is saved and contains a greeting or instructions. The confirmation identifies which incoming or outgoing instructions will be replaced.

A direction without content keeps its existing live script. The transfer number, AI voice, and numbers with their own scripts remain separate. A number-specific script can take precedence over the shared live version.

Verify and recover

After saving, reselect the version and inspect its words. After a separately authorized activation, review the live script in AI Calls. A Default badge is insufficient evidence of activation, and activation alone is not a successful call test.

Archiving is another separate operation and applies to a saved version. Read the confirmation and any error before retrying. Preserve pending edits before navigating away or choosing a different version.
