Store starting messages for LinkedIn connection notes, comments, and replies. This page controls reusable wording; AI Assistant → LinkedIn Writing controls the broader writing voice.

What you’ll see

The LinkedIn Templates page, where you select New Template or Add starter templates. No templates exist yet.

Before you start

You need access to LinkedIn template settings and a clear message purpose. Editing a template does not require contacting anyone. Using it later requires the intended account and an appropriate recipient or conversation. Business context improves personalization, but missing context should never be replaced with invented customer facts.

Review and edit

  1. Open Settings → Templates → LinkedIn Templates. Use the message-type filter to find the appropriate existing entry before adding another.
  2. Select a template, or use the new-template action. Fill Template Name, choose Message type, and optionally set Tone. Inherit from settings keeps the broader writing-style choice rather than selecting a separate tone here.
  3. Edit Body. The Tokens panel inserts placeholders into the message; review which values will be available in the intended conversation.
  4. If using the starter set, industry presets, or personalization, inspect the generated wording. Those actions can create or change template content and are not required for a read-only review.
  5. Choose Save Template, then reopen the same entry and inspect its name, type, tone, and body. Use Cancel to leave an edit you do not want to save.

Check the result

A saved template gives the LinkedIn sidebar a reviewed starting point. It does not prove that a connection request, comment, or reply was sent. Read the final message in its actual context before any authorized posting action.

If something goes wrong

Troubleshooting

The wrong tone may come from the selected template override or the inherited LinkedIn Writing settings. A missing template may be hidden by the message-type filter. If personalization produces unsupported claims, replace them with verified facts before saving. After a save error, reopen the item before repeating creation or loading another preset set.
