Voice & delivery controls the in-app assistant's name, voice selection, delivery style, and waiting-line behavior. You need access to AI Assistant settings and successfully loaded settings before applying changes. This page is separate from the phone-call configuration in AI Calls.
What you’ll see
Review the saved choice
- Open Settings → AI Assistant → Voice & delivery. The page heading reads Voice & Delivery.
- Read the assistant name, Saved choice badge, and When it applies status.
- Inspect Natural, Warm, and Expressive delivery styles without selecting a new one during a review-only session.
- Check whether an active conversation uses a different voice from the saved choice for future conversations.
Voice previews play only when Play is pressed. A preview speaks the Preview line; it does not start a conversation or open records. It still requests audio and was not executed for this guide. Stop preview stops playback. Suitability ratings are user ratings, not independent guarantees of voice quality.
Understand the save boundaries
Save name saves only the assistant name. Apply to next conversation saves the pending voice changes, including an accompanying name draft. A current conversation keeps its voice until it ends. Leaving the page drops an unapplied voice draft.
Waiting-line presets and weights are different: they save as soon as they change. Editing a slider switches the weighting to Custom. Do not experiment with these controls in a review-only session.
The advanced Conversation engine selection is separate from the voice and delivery style. A provider marked unavailable cannot be enabled simply by selecting a voice elsewhere.
Check the result
Read the explicit saved/unsaved state after an authorized change, then reload and inspect it again. If saved settings could not load, changes cannot be applied yet. A save error means future conversations may still use the previous choice.
