Prepare reusable wording for WhatsApp conversations. These templates help the team start from consistent content; they do not connect a WhatsApp account, choose a recipient, or deliver a message by themselves.

What you’ll see

The WhatsApp Templates page, where you select New Template or Create the first one. No templates exist yet.

Before you start

You need access to the template workspace. Actual messaging needs the intended WhatsApp integration connected and an authorized recipient or group. Do not treat a template appearing in the list as proof that the provider has approved it or that the channel is ready.

Review and edit

  1. Open Settings → Templates → WhatsApp Templates and select an existing item. Read its description and usage settings before modifying a template another workflow may use.
  2. Choose New Template for a distinct message purpose. In the creation panel, review Start From if copying an existing template, then set Template Name and Description so teammates know when to use it.
  3. Check Type and Module. Write the message under Content. Keep one clear purpose, identify the business appropriately, and review every placeholder rather than assuming all lead fields are present.
  4. Inspect AI Instructions separately from the message. If using a rewrite or generation option, read the resulting text before saving; generated content is not automatically approved for use.
  5. Select Create Template for a new item or Save Changes when editing. Reopen it and confirm the saved content and intended channel.

Check the result

Success here means the correct reusable message exists. Before an eventual authorized message, inspect the actual destination, whether it is a person or a group, the selected account, and the final personalized content in the communication workflow.

If something goes wrong

Troubleshooting

If a template is missing from a later workflow, check its channel and Module before creating another. If WhatsApp is disconnected, review the connection under Apps rather than editing the template repeatedly. An uncertain save should be checked by reopening the item. Provider acceptance and device receipt remain separate checks; neither was tested in this documentation session.
