Use Pipeline → Stages when the team’s language differs from LeadScore’s default stage labels. The page title is Pipeline Stages. Renaming changes display labels; it is not a way to move leads, create a different qualification model or rewrite the stage keys used by workflows.
You need confirmed administrative access to edit. If the saved settings cannot load, the page shows defaults for orientation and disables saving. Treat those defaults as a loading or connection state rather than evidence that your custom names disappeared.
What you’ll see
Change the labels
- Open Pipeline Stages and wait for the current names to load. Compare the six stage positions with the pipeline your team uses.
- Edit the displayed name for the intended stage. Keep labels short enough to remain recognizable in tabs and cards, and avoid assigning identical names to different stages.
- Use the individual reset control only if that stage should return to its standard label. Reset to Defaults opens a confirmation, but the shared reset also resets status labels. Review the related board names before using a full reset.
- After reviewing the form, choose Save Changes. Resetting the fields is still an edit; the save commits the intended names.
- Reopen the settings page and then the Pipeline to check that the names are retained and correspond to the same stage positions.
Confirm and recover
Success means the intended display labels survive readback without changing the leads’ underlying stage membership. If the page says Changes not saved, read the notice and correct the reported problem before retrying. If saved names could not load, use the offered retry and do not overwrite them with visible fallback defaults. Ask an administrator to resolve access if editing remains unavailable.
