Use Pipeline → Lead Value to choose the amount used when a new lead has no explicit value. The page’s Default Lead Value section helps the pipeline and forecast use a consistent starting amount. Have the workspace owner or an authorized settings editor agree on the intended default before changing it.
The setting applies to new leads and imports after saving. Existing leads keep their current amounts. A value entered directly on a lead, or supplied by an import column, takes precedence over the workspace default. Changing this setting therefore does not recalculate the whole existing pipeline.
What you’ll see
Choose and save the value
- Open Lead Value and wait for the stored setting to load. Do not treat the initial value shown during loading as the confirmed workspace choice.
- Expand Default Lead Value and review Default value for a new lead. Compare it with the amount your team wants used when a record has no supplied value.
- Enter the intended amount. The screen explains that the starting default is $5,000 and offers $1 as a counting-oriented choice; choose an amount appropriate to your workflow rather than accepting an example automatically.
- Choose Save Changes and wait for Saving… to finish. The source shows a confirmation message after a successful settings-store save.
- Reopen the page to verify the stored default. In a separately authorized intake test, inspect a new lead with no supplied amount and another with an explicit amount.
Confirm and recover
The first success check is saved-setting readback. Correct behavior on a newly created or imported lead requires its own test; existing records are not that test. If a service notice reports a save failure, retain the intended value and resolve the issue before retrying.
