AI Calls controls who answers phone calls, the live instructions for certain AI calls, voice settings, and booking or transfer abilities. You need authorized access, correctly configured phone lines, and suitable calendar connections for booking. Reviewing settings does not require placing a test call.

What you’ll see

The AI Calls page, where you set who answers your calls and what your AI assistant says on them.

Inspect the relevant section

  1. Open Settings → AI Assistant → AI Calls.
  2. Review Who answers your calls, including team-first ring time and which phone lines allow AI.
  3. Read Answering calls and Lead AI calls separately. Their script editors serve incoming calls and the AI calling actions in a lead's menu.
  4. Inspect Cold calls separately: Speed Dial and playbook AI cold calls use shared Call Scripts chosen there, rather than the Lead AI calls script.

The page also offers How the AI sounds and abilities for booking meetings, connecting callers to a person, and staying on script. Voice preview is an audio action; transfer, booking, and live calling configuration affect real operations.

Save an approved configuration

Review scripts, line coverage, booking destination, and transfer details before Save Changes. Booking requires an available connected calendar and meeting type. Saving this page does not buy or release a phone number, but it can change how existing lines operate.

The save consists of multiple parts. Scripts are saved before answering policy, and changed cold-call settings are saved separately. A failure can therefore leave part of the configuration saved; do not interpret every error as a complete rollback.

Confirm the result

Reload and review each affected section after an authorized save. Read setup notices about unavailable lines or booking destinations. If the account changed during saving, reload before proceeding. The page specifically reports when other AI call settings saved but cold-call settings did not.

A saved configuration is not proof of call connection, intelligible audio, successful transfer, or a booked meeting. Those require separately authorized acceptance checks.
