Pipeline organizes leads into stage boards and columns so the team can see where work stands. Your visible stages depend on permissions and workspace configuration. Stage and column names can be customized, so use the labels shown in your workspace rather than expecting every account to have identical columns.
What you’ll see
Read the board
- Open Pipeline and check whether you are viewing Full Pipeline or Caller View, where that switch is available.
- In Full Pipeline, choose the stage you want to review. Caller View presents a focused working scope; it still respects hidden stages and access restrictions.
- Apply the available search and filters to locate the relevant work. Read the scope and totals together: filtered totals describe the selected scope, not necessarily the whole workspace.
- Open a card to inspect the lead record, recent activity, and next task before changing its status.
The board includes a preparation reminder to review validation and cleanup, contact details and permission, and research before moving a lead to Ready for Outreach. Treat readiness as a decision supported by the record, rather than something a column name proves automatically.
Move a lead only when its status has changed
Dragging a card into another column is a stored pipeline change. Confirm the intended destination and any workspace-specific meaning first. The board shows a move immediately while saving continues, so wait for its save status before relying on the new position.
The save status appears on the moved card: Saving…, then Saved for a moment once the change is confirmed. If you dropped the card on another stage's tab, the same status appears on that tab instead. Not confirmed means the board could not confirm the save.
If the board says Couldn't confirm save. Your move is visible here; refresh before trying again, follow that instruction. Refresh and inspect the authoritative position before repeating the move. Repeated dragging can make an uncertain save harder to understand.
Check the result and recover
After a confirmed update, reopen or refresh the board and verify the lead remains in its intended stage and column. If totals cannot load, use Retry totals; unavailable totals should not be interpreted as zero leads. A Column order not saved message concerns layout persistence and is separate from an individual lead's status.
If a stage is unavailable, ask your workspace administrator to review the relevant access settings. Do not use another user's account or a guessed link to bypass the restriction.
