Use Import to bring an existing list into LeadScore and review its processing results. Start with 10–100 contacts so you can check the result before importing a larger list.

You need access to the intended workspace and permission to import the records. A phone number is not a universal prerequisite: the entry screen says a file needs at least two of Company, Name, Email, Phone, Website. Choose fields appropriate to the data you are authorized to store. Sending email or making calls has additional prerequisites.

Prepare and import

  1. Choose Import in the product header. It is the last item in the header navigation.
  2. In Upload, review the supported formats: CSV, Excel .xlsx, or a PDF containing tables. The screen permits up to 50 files; beginners should start with one small file. This is a file-count control, not a promise of processing capacity.
  3. Prepare clear column names. The app recognizes related labels such as “Full Name”, “E-mail”, “Telephone” and “Domain”. Review duplicates and the source of your records before selecting a file.
  4. Choose Choose Files or drag the file into the upload area. Follow Upload → Tag & note → Process.
  5. In Configure Import, review Assign imported leads to, Tags, Notes, Lead stage and Lead status. Notes apply to every lead in that import. Where owner mapping is available, values must uniquely match an active workspace user; unknown or duplicate names require review. Leave the optional existing-lead link unused unless that relationship is intended.
  6. Review the selected files and settings before choosing Import 1 File (the label changes with the file count). Importing can start processing and scoring; it is an operational action.
  7. Keep the page open while files upload. After an upload succeeds, processing continues in the background. Use History to review accepted files and processing results.

Confirm the result

An accepted upload does not prove every row imported or finished scoring. Review each file's progress, record counts and failures. Find a known record through Leads and check its fields, owner, tags and stage. A record may already have moved from Imported to Validated after successful processing; an empty Imported view alone is not evidence of data loss.

If a file is rejected, check its format and at least two recognized columns. If an owner cannot be matched, resolve the specific ambiguous or inactive user before retrying affected rows. If processing is still running, check History rather than re-uploading the entire list. If the outcome is uncertain, retain the file and report the import reference through support without exposing contact data publicly.

Continue with Leads, the lead record and tasks. Integration and Lead Sources are separate Import sections for connected intake and source analysis; they are not needed for a first small spreadsheet.
