The lead's Tasks tab keeps its follow-up work alongside the record. Open the intended lead in the shared drawer and select Tasks. You need access to the record and authorization for task changes; deletion remains separately capability-controlled.

What you’ll see

The Tasks tab on a lead before any tasks exist, with Add Task to create the first one.

Find the task

  1. Use Search tasks to locate the intended item.
  2. Review filters such as All Active, In Progress, Overdue, Verified / Closed, or Closed Only.
  3. Choose a sort order: Due Date, Title, Priority, or Created Date.
  4. Use Show Closed when a completed task is absent from the working list.

The tab groups work into In Progress, Overdue, and Verified / Closed sections. Read assignee, due date, priority, and status together before deciding whether another follow-up is needed.

Separate selection from changes

Checkboxes select tasks for bulk actions. Set status and Set priority lead to updates across the selected tasks, so verify the selection before applying them. Selecting all visible tasks describes the current visible set, not necessarily every task in the account.

Add Task opens the creation form for this lead. Existing task editing, completion, and reopening are separate operations. An existing task's autosave behavior depends on the editor used; inspect the save controls and do not treat editing as a scratchpad.

Completing work can affect associated workflow state. Mark a task complete only when its underlying work is finished; a completed task is not proof that an email was delivered or a meeting occurred.

Verify and recover

After an authorized change, reopen the task and verify its linked lead, status, priority, assignment, and date. If it moved out of the active list, check closed filters before creating another copy.

If updates fail or the state is uncertain, inspect the current task before repeating the action. Use the main Tasks page's recovery workflow for a deleted task where available.
