Scoring explains the current score and the recorded changes behind it. Open the intended lead in the shared drawer and select Scoring where available. You need access to the record; rescoring is a separate processing action that requires authorization.

What you’ll see

The Scoring tab on a lead, showing the current score, its history and the factors that add or remove points.

Inspect the explanation

  1. Review Current Score, Lifecycle, Active Signals, and Last Scored together.
  2. Read Score Composition and Score Breakdown to understand positive and negative contributions.
  3. Inspect available factor reasons and Signals rather than relying on the total alone.
  4. Review meaningful score-history entries and use the control to show neutral entries when you need events that caused no score change.

A score expresses the configured scoring model's assessment. It is not a guarantee of contact accuracy, purchase intent, revenue, or permission to send outreach. Lifecycle and qualification decisions can differ from the score, and missing explanation data is not proof that no signals exist.

Understand Rescore

Rescore requests a new score calculation and refreshes the history and explanation after a successful response. It is not equivalent to refreshing a read-only report. New scoring can affect downstream behavior governed by account configuration, so do not press it merely to populate a demonstration.

The button shows Rescoring… while running, with a transient Rescored or Rescore failed message afterward. A success response should be checked against the resulting score, timestamp, and explanation.

Verify and recover

For a read-only review, success is explaining the visible factors and identifying uncertainty. After an authorized rescore, inspect the refreshed record and any related workflow changes before considering the operation complete.

The tab polls for updated data, but an absent history or zero-like display is not independent proof that backend scoring never ran. If a result is uncertain, inspect the existing state and report the sanitized error rather than repeatedly submitting Rescore.
