The Add Task form creates work for a person or the AI Assistant. You need access to Tasks and the relevant lead or workspace. Confirm the intended assignment and whether creation may schedule automated work before submitting.
What you’ll see
Prepare the task
- Open the task-creation action from Tasks or the lead's Tasks tab.
- In Details, enter a specific Task Title, review Due Date, and check Assigned to.
- Review Repeats. Daily, Weekly, and Monthly create recurring work; Does not repeat is the nonrecurring choice. Repeating work also has an Ends setting.
- Add the instructions needed to complete the work. Check any Linked Lead context before saving so the task belongs to the intended record.
Details includes Task Type, Priority, Stage / Status and basic assignment. Advanced Options contains assignment routing, team pools and fallback behavior. Available routing strategies include a specific person, lead owner, campaign owner, sender owner, team pool, round robin, and AI Assistant. A pool also needs the intended members and a fallback for unavailable assignees.
The captured Preview form below does not show the scheduling controls now exposed in Details by the reviewed source. Advanced Options holds routing, pools and fallback behavior. Treat that image as a historical view of the form; scheduling was not exercised or recaptured after the source change.
Understand submission
For a new task, Add Task is the deliberate save action. Selecting AI Assistant schedules AI work under the workspace's task-autonomy policy; the assignment itself is not permission to send a message. Review Task Autonomy before creating automated tasks.
This differs from an existing task opened in the slide-out editor, where edits autosave. Do not assume the new-task save behavior applies to every task editor.
Check the result
After an authorized creation, inspect the success state and reopen the task from the board or lead. Confirm title, linked record, assignee, due date, status, and recurrence. A saved task is not proof that its underlying call, email, or research has been performed.
If submission fails or its outcome is uncertain, check the list before creating another copy. Do not mark the task completed merely to dismiss an error or test the form.
