Goals & Plans manages a goal period, targets and revision history inside Sales Command Center. Viewing requires reporting access; goal changes require management permission. The page explicitly identifies read-only access when the current role cannot make changes.
What you’ll see
Prepare an authorized goal
- Choose New goal, or open an existing goal and select Edit goal. Review its owner, dates and status before revising it.
- Set Goal name, Status, Owner, Cadence, Start date, End date, Timezone, and Currency. Team or individual ownership requires the corresponding selection.
- Review Initiative / campaign, Channel, and Working days for expected pace. Cadence initializes one period; saving does not schedule recurring goals automatically.
- Under Targets, choose the metric, Semantics, Input period, unit and target values. Exact, minimum, maximum and range mean different things. Read the metric explanation before entering a number.
- Set Pacing status thresholds and Reason for this revision. Ratios such as 1 and 0.8 mean 100% and 80%, and missing evidence remains No Data.
- Use Preview calendar allocation to review allocation before Save goal revision. Saving creates a new revision effective today; historical allocations retain their original revision.
Confirm and recover
Inspect the saved plan and Revision history, including the reason and effective date. Dashboard pacing uses the active reporting scope, not automatically the goal’s whole period. If validation or loading fails, resolve it before saving. Do not create a second goal to compensate for an uncertain revision result; reopen the existing goal first.
