The Import page's Integration tab describes inbound lead intake and a manual connected-app sync. You need authorized access to Import and control over the external system before configuring it. This inbound setup is distinct from Settings → Integration → Webhooks, whose current outbound configuration surface has separate limitations.

What you’ll see

The Integration tab in Import, for sending leads in automatically from forms, Zapier, Make or your website.

Review the inbound setup

  1. Open Import → Integration.
  2. Read the Webhook instructions and Source name. The source label identifies where incoming leads came from.
  3. Inspect View sample JSON payload for the expected field names without treating the sample as real customer data.
  4. Leave the account-specific webhook address hidden during demonstrations or screenshots.

Show reveals the URL and Copy URL places it on the clipboard. The page warns that anyone with the URL can submit leads to the account. Keep it private and use it only in an approved external connection. Do not reproduce it in documentation or paste it into a support conversation.

Changing Source name changes the generated address's source parameter; it does not itself send a lead. Enabling an external form or automation to post to that address can create and score records, so testing intake requires a separately approved payload and account.

Understand connected-app sync

Sync connected apps offers Sync contacts. This explicitly requests a background pull from connected integrations. Sync started means the request was accepted or scheduled, not that all contacts are present or historical gaps are recovered.

Verify and recover

For setup review, success is knowing the source, intended external tool, and privacy boundary. After an authorized intake or sync test, verify the exact resulting lead and its source in the workspace. Do not infer success solely from copying the URL or seeing a sync notification.

If a sync fails to start, read its service notice before retrying. Check existing records before replaying an external submission to avoid uncertain duplicate operations.
