Your goal

Understand how a playbook combines steps, timing, entry rules, and enrollment. Read an existing sequence without saving, publishing, reconciling, enrolling, or executing it.

What you need

Use the Demo Account and an existing training playbook. Reading a playbook does not require ready communication channels. Executing one does: the observed account has no active phone number, mailbox pool, or sender profile, and AI calling is not fully configured.

Read-only milestones

  1. Start in the library. Open Playbooks in the header. Inspect the library and available filters. Do not use Duplicate, Archive, or creation actions during this orientation.
  2. Read Sequence. Open the existing playbook and inspect Sequence. The observed example displayed email, phone-call, email, and text-message steps, along with manual/automated step counts and publication blockers. Those are existing data and interface states, not actions performed in this session.
  3. Distinguish the controls. Identify Save draft, Publish, and the Triggers, Activity, Responses, Configuration, and Enrolled leads tabs. The sequence capture confirms the controls are visible; it does not establish that every tab's data or enrollment operation was tested.
  4. Separate audience from execution. Read the staged-audience and enrollment labels. A selected company or an existing enrollment count does not prove a step ran during this lesson. Do not click Refresh audience, Check enrollment status, or reconciliation actions merely to obtain a cleaner screenshot.
  5. Review dependencies. Read Email Templates, Call Scripts, SMS Templates, and Sender Profiles. Each step needs appropriate content, ownership, and readiness before activation.

Your useful outcome now

You can explain the sequence in plain language, identify its manual and automated work, and list the missing channel prerequisites. You can distinguish editing a draft, publishing a version, and enrolling leads without doing any of them.

Later operational exercise — not performed

For later

In an authorized training-write session, build a small draft, use Save draft, and reopen it to confirm steps and timing persisted. Review Configuration and entry triggers before any later publication. Publish makes the reviewed version live; automatic triggers can enroll matching leads. A later controlled execution requires an exact approved audience, ready channels, and step-by-step outcome evidence. This guide does not authorize that execution.

For a campaign objective, review Campaign Goals. For a structured comparison, Experiments separates Create experiment draft from Start.

If the sequence cannot publish

Troubleshooting

Read the displayed blockers rather than removing safeguards. A missing channel or unresolved configuration is a useful learning result. If a later step's outcome is unclear, inspect its history before retrying or re-enrolling. A saved draft is not a published version, and an enrollment counter is not delivery evidence.
