The email composer opens for a lead through a Send Email action. You need the intended lead, a configured sending identity, and permission to contact the recipient. Opening the composer can automatically select the account's default or first available message template and populate the From address; visible text is not proof that someone authored or saved a draft.

Review each part

  1. On the Email tab, confirm From, To, Subject, and the selected Template. Within this tab, the toolbar’s Write control edits the body and Preview prepares the rendered message.
  2. In Attachments, review selected files, including attachments added by the template. Check version and internal-file warnings. Uploading from the computer stores files; it is not just selecting an existing attachment.
  3. In Options, inspect Email Layout Template, Schedule Time, CC, BCC, and open tracking. Blank Schedule Time means immediate sending; a schedule requires a valid future date and time.
  4. Return to Preview to review the resolved message, including signature and footer. Return to Write to correct it.

Sender appears only when the selected From address has nonblocking reply-capture advice. Open it to read About this From address. This advice means replies may not be captured in LeadScore; it does not itself block sending. Required blocking notices and test-mode notices remain on Email.

Tab switches retain the open composer's state. That does not establish durable draft storage. Changing templates can replace content and template-supplied attachments, so recheck the entire message afterward.

The November 4 capture below shows the earlier Final preview label and inline reply advice. A later check of the product's current design found the Preview label, toolbar placement and conditional Sender tab. These changes were not recaptured or operationally exercised.

Separate preparation from sending

Send submits the email or scheduled operation. Close dismisses the composer. Do not press Send to test a preview or clear a warning. Review resolved recipients and channel notices before any separately authorized send.

Template loading and final preparation may resolve or generate configured custom links through connected services. Preview does not send email, but it is not universally free of provider activity.

Verify and recover

If preview fails, return to Write and read the error. After an authorized send, inspect Emails history; a queued or accepted status is not inbox delivery. Do not repeat an uncertain send without checking its status.
