Start by identifying the task you chose. Reading a lead, adding a note, sending an email and placing a call have different prerequisites. You do not need a phone number just to organize notes and follow-ups.

Symptom Check first Safe next step
A setting or action is missing Workspace, role, current route and whether the feature is configured Ask the workspace administrator to verify access. Hidden navigation alone does not establish server permission.
An email action needs setup Selected sender, mailbox/domain readiness and the specific message shown Review Email settings with an authorized administrator; do not change credentials or reconnect providers speculatively.
A call or text cannot start Selected recipient and sender numbers, channel readiness and permission Read the action's guidance. Do not interpret number registration approval as device delivery or carrier reputation proof.
Imported is empty after upload History, row results and the Validated lifecycle Search for a known record before uploading the file again.
A list shows an error or loading state Visible error, active filters and workspace Allow the read to complete or use the supplied read retry. Missing data during an error is not proof of an empty workspace.
A save/send response is lost Existing history, the saved record and the exact operation state Preserve the intended change and inspect for an existing result before retrying a write. An uncertain response can still follow a committed action.
A video is marked Coming Soon Whether a real recording exists Use the written guide; do not treat a placeholder or thumbnail as completed media.

For external actions, distinguish draft, queued/accepted, sent and delivered according to the channel's actual evidence. A saved draft is not a send. A provider acknowledgement is not proof that a person received the message. A sample meeting is not a confirmed real booking.
